Who We Are:
Founded in 1999 by Rabbi Shaya Erps, Chaverim of Rockland, a 501(c)3, continues to make significant contributions to Rockland County’s emergency services. Fielding over 20,000 calls annually, Chaverim’s altruistic, round the clock services have earned the respect of community and local law enforcement members alike.
Chaverim of Rockland has made an impact worldwide as well. Since 1999, more than 34 Chaverim branches have opened round the world following our system of volunteer-fueled emergency services.

Mission Statement
Chaverim of Rockland County’s mission is to assist anyone, wherever there is a non-medical need, in whatever way possible in a completely altruistic manner. Chaverim is here to help save both time and money while at the same time helping to maintain and create a safe, happy, stress free environment for all.
Our Volunteers
Chaverim’s team of over 150 trained volunteers is available 24 hours a day. Directed professionally by Chaverim’s dispatchers utilizing the most sophisticated dispatching system available, Chaverim is able to ensure that each call is handled in a timely, professional manner.
